COWI Consulting Engineers and Planners AS
is a Danish international
multi-disciplinary company of consulting
engineers and planners founded in 1930.
From its initial focus on providing
consultancy services in the fields of
engineering, the company has expanded its
consultancy activities to also cover such
areas as development planning and
environmental management. COWI has more
than 2,200 employees, including an
overseas staff of 700. COWI is currently
engaged in some 1,000 projects, and has
carried out more than 25,000 projects in
over 110 countries during the years,
mainly in Europe, Africa, the Middle
East, Latin America and Asia.

Kagiso Trust
Kagiso Trust was formed in 1986 as a
conduit of funds to South Africa from the
European Union (EU) for the support of
victims of apartheid. Kagiso Trust grew
from a small unit managed by two people
in 1986 to a huge operation of close to
100 people in 1990. The budget had grown
from ECU 10 mill. to some ECU 75 mill. by
the early 1990s. Kagiso Trust's strength
lies in its proud record of affinity with
the communities it serves, its board of
management and staff which has strong
personal and social roots in communities
and who, literally and figuratively speak
the language of the people it serves. |
